Hong Kong Working Culture - What Is It Like?

Title says it all. I've heard that it's as (even more) intense than NYC

Anecdotally, I saw Cowen (which apparently is gaining momentum) has an office in Hong Kong. How's their business there?

I would think it could be compared to drowning. Then, instead of a life preserver, your staffer hands you 2 sell sides.

path less traveled

The European ones are slightly less sweaty than the American ones but only in relative measure.

I don't know about NYC times, but people leave at 5 am and then come back before 9 am, because I swear people here operate off zero sleep. We've stolen goddamn Japanese culture, including the stupid death from overwork aspect.

Weekend work varies, I've seen analysts get staffed on a deal on paid time off.

Pay is great though, 70k HKD a month translating to 100k USD base annual salary
