I have a first round interview with HLHZ corporate finance Group for SA in the LA office upcoming. I tried to search, but couldn't find much info on SA interviews. Anyone been through them? Tough technicals?

i believe there is a test for full-time analyst interviewees, but summer analysts are spared this. the test is new, wasn't there when i interviewed a few years back.
for the most part, the interview shouldn't be too bad. just your basic sa interview, maybe a tad more technical than larger banks. know dcf, wacc, capm, why banking, why hlhz, be interesting, be comfortable with basic accounting, and the 3 statements question, and you should be fine.
Did they start interviewing for SA's already? I thought it was still relatively early.
You guys know that Houlihan Lokey no longer includes HZ. It's just HL.
the name hl is mainly for image purposes - hlhz is too cumbersome. was there when the name was changed. the corporate name remains hlhz. don't be a smartas.s
The head recruiter grilled someone for added HZ... Just sayin'
know "why middle market" and make sure you don't say anything to make you seem like you want to be with a bulge bracket
They have already made at least 1 SA hire that I know of, but thats in Chicago. Anyways, it shouldn't be any different than other SA interviews but definitely know why HL, why your group, etc.
