Houlihan Lokey SF?

I see that they have posted many locations and group coverage applications. But SF and tech are noticeably absent.

Anyone know why this is the case? Seems odd every location would be running on the same timeline other than SF, even LA is on there. Or is it out and its just posted somewhere else?

Based on the most helpful WSO content, Houlihan Lokey's San Francisco office, particularly its tech coverage, has been a topic of interest and speculation. While Houlihan Lokey is known for its strong presence in restructuring (RX) and corporate finance (CF) across various locations, the absence of SF tech postings could be due to several reasons:

  1. Market Dynamics: The tech banking scene in San Francisco is highly competitive, dominated by major players like Qatalyst, Morgan Stanley, and Goldman Sachs. Houlihan Lokey may be focusing its tech efforts in other regions or through specialized teams.

  2. Recruitment Strategy: It's possible that the SF tech group operates on a different hiring timeline or recruits through more targeted channels, such as internal referrals or direct outreach, rather than public postings.

  3. Group Focus: Houlihan Lokey's SF office might prioritize other sectors or services, such as middle-market M&A or financial advisory, rather than tech-specific coverage.

  4. Operational Adjustments: There could be internal restructuring or strategic shifts affecting the SF tech group, leading to a temporary pause in public job postings.

If you're specifically interested in Houlihan Lokey's SF tech group, it might be worth reaching out directly to their HR or networking with current employees to get clarity on their hiring plans. Additionally, keeping an eye on their careers page and LinkedIn updates could provide more insights.
