Houston's reputation carry over to other offices? (Energy-specific)
I've noticed that Houston tends to dominate Oil & Gas coverage in North and South America, while London seems to lead on the international side.
It also seems that firms with strong Houston energy franchises often have strong London franchises as well (e.g., jeff, citi..). Is that because the Houston and London teams work closely together, or does the technical expertise (especially A&D) in Houston help strengthen the quality of advisory work in London?
The firm I'm most curious about is evr. They're widely regarded as one of the strongest advisors for upstream Oil & Gas in Houston, but I haven't seen many standout upstream deals in EMEA from the London office.
Any thoughts on this?
