How are Hirevue videos looked at/rated?
Just did the JP Morgan FT 2021 hirevue videos and afterwards I started thinking about the possibility of grading every single person's video. 5 videos at about 2 minutes each adds up quite a bit with what I'm guessing are hundreds of applicants. Does anyone know how these are graded? Do they look at just the first video and go from there or what? I tend to make it to the hirevue stage for BBs then get cut off but I've always wondered the process of what goes into it.
i've watched a lot of them ....and the majority are super cringe...like obvious really bad social skills
I can only imagine lol. I'm a pretty social guy and can do in-person interviews well, but something about the computer screen and seeing myself locks me up.
I have had the same experience. I think being able to gauge the interest of topics from the interviewer is a crucial reason for this. I tend to steer the conversation to whatever they find most fascinating and prompt what they’re most excited to speak on. I cant do either of these in a pre recorded hirevue setting.
Lol are you on the recruiting team? What are some of the key things that make it look bad? Facial expressions and articulation? Stupid answers?
They want to make sure you aren't a squid.
I thought for JPM no one looks at them and its just AI instead? Actually pretty curious because I would of answered totally different if people review them lol
True story... For my JPM Hirevue last year I accidentally hit record and skipped over the allotted prep time on the last question. Ended up submitting a 45 second video of myself writing down notes on a piece of paper and practicing what I was going to stay. Still got to the next round somehow.
