How "bad" is HW? It's a tier 2 MM firm, tier 1 if you are in HC or consumer products (sweaty groups). They actually pay very very well - often above street - but MM PE will probably be your best exit opp

 

No I actually agree, tried to give a pretty neutral overview of the perception of HW, they are very very solid. I actually found the title really weird… how “bad” is HW?? They’re a great MM firm lol

 

Seconded on the exits thing: the analysts I've spoken to have all mentioned that HW is actually supportive of buyside recruiting, which has made a big difference in their experience there.

 

I had a FT offer from them and i ended up taking a BB for the prestige. I feel like my quality of life is prolly worse and my bonus would’ve been better, problem was I wanted to live in NYC lol
