How Come You Never Hear of Business-Development Companies as an Exit Opp?
Seems like a pretty cool line of work where the actual job function an investment analyst would play is pretty damn similar to a PE Associate. Almost like working for a REIT versus a REPE company. Just curious how come nobody ever brings them up when it comes to talking about exit opps and I've literally never met anyone in real life that works for one nor have I ever even seen the phrase "BDC" appear on WSO before. Is it just a function of PE fixation on the IB forum or what?
