How cooked am I honestly?

I am a first year analyst in IB working at a BB (ignore title). My work product is pretty good and I am usually on top of things but yesterday my keyboard stopped working and I spent five minutes trying to debug. Unfortunately, I couldn't figure out the issue so I flagged down a passing tech support person and he told me it was turned off and flicked the on switch (completely forgot about that).

I smiled and thanked him but my VP and the head human resources admin saw and heard this interaction. How cooked am I? It was a silly mistake but I'm afraid I just came across as a total dimwit.

Dang man, you really messed up…

…ok shti and giggles to the side, I think your just nervous or something, its ok we are all human, shit happens obviously you interviewed well and they think your intelligent at least some level. Don’t over think it btw congrats on breaking in

Was hoping this was a post from Giveadvicepls from the title.

Idk man, I understand the frustration but VPs & MDs only care about the output of your work not your “dumb & dumber” moment that happens to everyone occasionally.

Do you know how many times I did shit like this?
