If a bank is say 3 or 4 days mandatory in office, does that mean analysts have to stay in office until done working? Can they WFH after dinner or would that count as a WFH day? Particularly interested in EVR

Depends on the group, though pretty common post-covid for people to work in the office until around dinner time and then sign back on from home.

Yes. I mean I certainly wouldn’t make dinner plans or anything, but I think you don’y really need to be glued to your desk until 12am every night.
Of course, if you’re working on something and the rest of the deal team is in the office, you should stay until it gets done.
Most banks are ok with going home after dinner - maybe you stay if you're printing something or the whole deal team is jamming and easier to be together, but that's not every day
Fine to go home and cook up a quick dinner / say hi to your GF but wouldn't recommend trying to bring the laptop out to a full dinner unless its a reallyyyyy light night

My group eats dinner at the desk 4x a week so don’t get your hopes too high
EVR specifically is M-Th in office, WFH Fridays, protected Saturdays…most come in on Sundays too since it’s a work day. This is very strict and monitored by HR in NY. Other offices are more lax and won’t look at you weird if you come in less as long as your shit gets handled.
This EVR NYC? We share a building with you all and I swear the firm always has people in the office. Maybe b/c of interns?
