How does networking for summer 2028 IB internships actually work?
Say I have my eyes set on ~10 firms at a semi-target. Should I basically be spending my time emailing as many people as possible at those firms to try to get calls?
But I’ve also heard you shouldn’t email multiple people in the same office at once. So when people say “send at least 20 networking emails a day,” who exactly are they sending those emails to if they’re targeting ~10 firms?
Do you just cycle through different people/offices within those firms?
Would appreciate any insight from people who have actually gone through the process.
