How Does the Future Look Like?
I'm a highschool student looking to go to a top business school (in Canada), and to get into investment banking. My only concern is that from what I hear and read, banks are constantly cutting jobs, and some graduates of these top schools are having a hard time getting jobs.
My question is how does the future of investment banking look like? Would a graduate in 2017 be able to get into the industry or is going to continually decline? I'm sure no one can really predict the future of the industry but I'm sure the input of people who know about the industry must have a relevant say in the subject.
Overall, would it be worth pursing a business degree from a target school, or would I be better off in a field such as engineering?
