How does Wells Fargo IBD do group placement?
How does Wells IBD do group placement? I saw a post from a while ago saying that they don't tell you the location until after you sign the offer, I have preferences but am okay with that since I'm gunning for a sophomore analyst position. I've been networking with one specific group there, but I'm not dead set on it or anything. What is the best way to position yourself for a specific group and city? Are junior analysts given group/location preference over sophomores?

Well you might have to wait a year. From what HR told me, they aren't having a sophomore internship program because most leave afterwards so its a low return on investment for them. I go to a target school as well
fuuuuuuuuuuuckkkkk. I really dont want to do wells for a jr internship because I dont want to be stuck in Charlotte for FT. I go to a semi target. I can totally understand the whole low ROI for them though. It makes total sense. Anybody with a sophomore IB internship would be in a great position to move up for jr year. Do you know if this is being cancelled starting summer 2020 or summer 2021? Im a freshman and I'm pretty sure summer 2020 recruiting is done for them and Im pretty sure they took sophs for that.
Nah they didnt take any sophomores for summer 2020 for IBD. They do have sophomore programs still for other divisions
