How hard is it for Communication Major to break in IB? Tips for a sophomore?

Hello! I was wondering if major matters for IB. I am a rising sophomore at Cornell in Communication with a minor in business. All my past work experiences are related to marketing/social media. I've been trying to find a finance-related internship for the next winter/summer to build my resume. However, I noticed that many of Cornell kids around me have already landed a finance/VC summer internship while I'm doing marketing job at a media company. I just don't know if I even have a chance at IB since everyone at my school started so early and most of them have a more relevant major (95% of them are in the business school or hotel school) than I do. Any suggestions and tips?Thank you for your input in advance!
