how important will English be?

Just out of curiosity, as for internation students whose first language is not English, will it be a big disadvantage? friends of mine have pretty good English, but as international students, will the interviewer accept the imperfectioness of the language skills, especially in a telephone interview?

Monument ManI'd say it is pretty important. There are tons of international students working at the BB in NYC, but if your English is not up to par, you'll definitely find it difficult to get hired.
is there many international students working at BB in Wall Street? good to hear that

Very important. Also, you would assume that english would be more laxed at cali banks compared to nyc but that's not the case. If you are an international student one way you can stand out amonst the international kids is by joining a business or social frat.

dude english is a must , personally i speak English, French, Spanish , Arabic and i am learning Mandarin

I don't want to be a product of the environment, i want the environment to be a product of me

Shameless self-advertisement at its finest.

He was just striving to emphasize his point, cut him some slack.

With regards to being International, I guess it depends on your ability to integrate into the "normality" of society. Also, it really shouldn't be a problem if you're an international from Canada, UK, Australia and New Zealand (on second thought, perhaps you should cross out Australia and New Zealand).

I win here, I win there...

ZIRHi'm an international student and I feel as long as you are eloquent and able to articulate your thoughts and answers well in an interview, it shouldn't be a problem. I don't think accents will get in the way unless they totally can't make out what you're saying...

so r u working in the Street?

I just saw him the other day, working the corner of Park and 48th in his patent leather pumps.
