How is deutsche a BB
Not that it really matters, but how is Deutsche still considered a BB but Wells Fargo isn’t? It seems like in terms of deal volume WF is close to a low BB but deutsche is miles off…

legacy carries the name for sure but many ppl are saying the same thing where DB and UBS are the BB’s that are lowkey questionable rn lol
It also is just a big bank. Has a big balance sheet. It’s the main bank of Germany and one of the major European banks. They still have a strong presence in the USA and their name carries a lot of weight and respect.
agreed. DB is a fucking machine in EU, specifically Germany. FIC group is top tier there. Ik a few friends in IBCM NYC and they get to work on global deals which is fuckin sick so I would argue DB is a great opportunity in the short term but long term wise idrk tbh haha
So IB CM is not as horrible as this forum makes it out to be? I was pretty excited about my summer analyst position in DB coming from a non-target and this forum makes me feel like I got the bottom of the barrel!
