How is this received?

Hello,

Thanks for all the help I've received from all of you whilst using this site ( I know you hear the same crap everytime someone posts but, it really has helped).

I have secured a SA at a boutique this summer, which I'm very happy about. I am interested though in applying to other positions, long term internships which are offered by BNPP, SocGen, Citi etc in London.

Should I put this upcoming internship on my CV? Is it good to put something upcoming on there even though I haven't yet begun? Will it in some way jeopardize my offer (if they call to check if I'm not lying about the offer, maybe the first firm will get offended?).

Would just like your thoughts, irrespective of where you work. Thank you.

I personally don't like it when people write about internships they haven't even started yet. Just me though.

It just says so much about you trying hard to impress - which doesn't sell as well as a more subtle approach.

Personally, i'd only do it if your SA is at a really good boutique thats worth name dropping
