Realistically, how long can someone stay as an MD? Could they stay as long as they pull their weight or are there term limits?
Also, do VPs get fired if there isn't place for them to move up? Eg: 4 MDs above him nobody shows signs of leaving, are the VPs pushes out for not moving up?

From what I know you could stay as MD forever. But of course many MDs are gunning for head of xyz sector (i.e Head of Healthcare IB) -> then head of IB -> C-Suite
And no as long as the VP bring in his own deals/revenue he will get a spot.
