how long does it take to get from JFK to midtown by cab around noon? My flight for superday tomorrow got cancelled and I got booked to the next flight so I am trying to get an estimate of when I'll get to the office.

traffic shouldnt be too bad on friday at noon into the city, but i dont see you making it there if your flight gets in at noon. see if you get on an earlier flight to LGA or EWR.

Have you contacted them? It's not like they are going to blame you for the flights being canceled and you'll work around it... but if you never told them then shame on you.

hellogoodbyeI just emailed HR. They literally just cancelled all the flights from where i am to LGA an hour ago

Yeah then don't worry about it, just keep in touch with them, I'd give them a call before your flight (if they'll be there... I don't know where you're coming from) just to make sure. There really isn't much else you can do.

i like the airtrain and subway idea (cabs can take notoriously wrong in traffic....the airtrain always takes the same amount of time...

if you are getting off at JFK, take the airtrain to jamaica station and then take the 7 express to grand central

if getting off at LGA, take a cab to jamaica and then take the 7 from there

also, try not to have any checked luggage at all (you prob know this anyway)

ps throw a silver banana to squawkbox for his idea
