how long does it take to get from JFK to midtown by cab around noon?

Give yourself at least an hour if not more. You never know what how clogged the Van Wyck expressway will be.

Also give yourself extra time to sit on the tarmac. I'm not sure if you've flown into JFk before, but you will land and then just sit there for 30 mins before getting off the plane.

let's say I am late to the superday because my flight got cancelled...would they hold that against me? My new flight gets to JFK around noon.. .and superday starts at 1pm lol... I am fucked

That's a bad time frame. I would shoot an email off to HR tonight.

traffic shouldnt be too bad on friday at noon into the city, but i dont see you making it there if your flight gets in at noon. see if you get on an earlier flight to LGA or EWR.

I know..that's the best I can do lol.. all the flights to LGA got cancelled and the ones to EWR are overbooked

You might be better off taking Skytrain from JFK to Jamaica then hopping on the subway into midtown

Have you contacted them? It's not like they are going to blame you for the flights being canceled and you'll work around it... but if you never told them then shame on you.

I just emailed HR. They literally just cancelled all the flights from where i am to LGA an hour ago

i like the airtrain and subway idea (cabs can take notoriously wrong in traffic....the airtrain always takes the same amount of time...

if you are getting off at JFK, take the airtrain to jamaica station and then take the 7 express to grand central

if getting off at LGA, take a cab to jamaica and then take the 7 from there

also, try not to have any checked luggage at all (you prob know this anyway)

yea lol..made it there just on time. I figure it would take me more time to try to figure out the train and subway :)
