2 year generally, with some being forced into a 3rd yr for random reasons
hey so most will promote to assoc within two years? so the ones on LinkedIn who did 3 years are more exceptional cases? what are the reasons why they would have to do an extra year? thks!
Most leave or get the 2 year A2A, yes. Third years are not common, either because they came in as a Analyst 0/Junior Analyst, which I think is like reserved for super non targets or laterals with zero finance background who cant be considered full Analyst 1, or just because they didn't perform well enough to get promo but not bad enough to be fired
At JPM. I've never heard of "which I think is like reserved for super non targets or laterals with zero finance background who cant be considered full Analyst 1."
Also at JPM, have literally met only 1 so yea p rare
I've seen people do a 3rd analyst year because if you swap groups internally, you get "demoted" 1 level (At least in M&A). But, I've never heard of it being "reserved" for ultra nontargets...That's pretty ridiculous you threw that out here...
