Could some of you in the know shed some light on summer associate classes? I've used the search, but couldn't find specifics for my questions.
how large are summer associate classes at different BB's...MM's and boutiques? How many summers are typically hired within different groups? How have ft conversion rates been looking? How competitive did current 1st years find summer recruiting (how many landed/total interested)
lastly, how well would a trade support > hf execution trader fare for ib? ( target MBA)
Thanks a lot for the help guys...it's a little tough to find info on topics past the analyst years on here, but I still trust this information more than anywhere else.

Last year Barclays Capital in London had 12 summer associates, 7 of them were in IBD. I know 2 of them personally and they both received offers. I don't know anything else.
This is all extremely company specific. Check out the company profiles on sites like BusinessWeek. They will tell you how many applications they got, how many people they hired, and how many people came from internships. That is company wide for big companies only.
