How Much Deal Experience Needed for a Corp Dev VP Level Exit?

Trying to figure out if I have enough experience to be a VP of Corp Dev at a LMM PortCo. I worked in a capital markets group in banking, then grinded to get a LMM PE role at a buyout shop where I closed a platform and three add ons. The deal team was always me and one partner because it was a small shop. I did a lot of modeling, funds flow, working with the QofE provider, making the diligence list, and did a lot of sourcing/business development work too. I never truly owned the purchase agreement process because a partner was always involved. I also never managed the reps and warranty work. Would I realistically be able to succeed as a VP of corp dev for a LMM PortCo (sub 200M revenue) as an individual contributor expected to own the deal execution process?
