How much do first years ACTUALLY get paid?
I got a few offers and already signed. I obviously didn’t take into account pay very heavily, but since the bases are similar, I’m curious what total comp ACTUALLY looks like.
The bulge offers i got were $110k base while my EB was $120k.
If top bulge and top EB, what would total comp look like for both?
Stub bonuses are pretty mediocre for year 0s at BBs due to name discount (GS/JPM/MS). BofA pays dogshit because BofA. Not sure if Citi is still on their hourly pay-scale but if they are you'd actually get paid decently for overtime hours.

BB pays like absolute horseshit. Way below par for any MM bank, let alone an EB. The only reason you choose a BB is to 1) impress the hot girl at ur school who doesn’t know better and 2) if u maybe want a bigger brand name outside of finance. But if ur priorities are compensation and finance related exits, EB blows a BB out of the fucking water.
