How much does a program like SEO (for diversity applicants) help with recruiting?

Hey everyone. I’m a sophomore gearing up for SA 2022 IB recruiting this coming spring. If I go to a school with good OCR from banks, how much will being part of a diversity initiative like SEO (sponsors for educational opportunity) help with winning offers? Does every BB/EB/top MM have diversity initiatives that I can take advantage of through programs like SEO? For background, I’m diversity through ethnicity but am straight and male attending a non-ivy target. Thanks!

They provide prep materials, networking events, and a significant alumni network thats far more likely to help you than school alumni. Ultimately you will get out what you put into it. I can’t recommend it enough though.

If you qualify for SEO AND go to a non-target, this should be a no brainer. Yes, SEO will help tremendously. EVEN IF it only got you 1 extra interview, that's 1 more chance to get an offer.
