I mean, if you want exit opportunities that are in NYC, being in NYC is definitely an advantage. This includes a lot of PE firms and HFs.
Cost of living, sure it's lower outside of NYC, but most people here would say it's worth the premium, while others wouldn't. I would try to think long-term though. Do you want to stay in Atlanta? Also, if it's WB Tech, think about if you really want to do Tech, esp in Atlanta (not exactly known for being a tech hub). PJS NYC is pretty decent.
