how much influence does an ED at a BB at a different department have over internship/interview referrals?
basically the title^
I'm currently a freshman trying to land a PWM internship at a BB (i know). If I have a connection who is Executive Director level at lets say BofA, but he/she works in derivatives modeling and trading support. Would they be able/would it be effective to refer me to people who work in the PWM department and later for FO roles?
