How much time does one have off after graduation before the start of a FT job?

Title says it all. I know it varies firm to firm but I'd just like to hear from some of you who have gone through this part of life already. How much time did you have off after graduation before you started your first job?

I finished my masters degree in July 14, started graduate recruiting in August 14 and travelled from November 14 to June 15 until the program started.

This route however was quite risky - could also have end up with no job!

This blows. I graduate this May 20th, work starts in August 7. Already booked a 2 month trip to Europe this summer. If you don't do it now, you'll never do it for the rest of your life.
