I get two weeks. We are allowed to take max five consecutive days. Our group head encourages analysts to take at least one full week off a year, but that is not the case for all the teams at the bank.

Just to clarify on my post, taking four weeks off as a 1st/2nd year wasn’t the norm but also wasn’t uncommon. Typically analysts take 2-4.5 weeks off per year, depending on your luck. Analysts are expected to take 2 weeks of vacation per year. Additionally, depending on your staffings, Thanksgiving week is off starting Wednesday and the two weeks for Christmas/NYE are also off. No one counts vacation time on holidays, but you’re only expected to work if you have to for time sensitive live deals. Some clients also have “dark” periods over the holidays, so work will be paused. Really depends on your luck and what you’re on though. A good share of analysts will have nothing to do. This is for a top tier BB and policy was pretty consistent across groups.
