How much would bringing a client affect a candidacy?

I have completed the final round interview of a Coverage analyst role under CIB. After waiting a few weeks for the offer decision, I received an informal heads-up from a connection, one of the interviewers, that I have not been shortlisted. Now I cannot help but keep thinking about this: would it make a change if I had mentioned in the interview that I could help them to start a relationship with a Fortune 500 client (a close friend working in the company treasury who manages the company's relationship with banks)?

If so, is it too late for me to bring this up now to the interviewer that I have stayed connected?

And, how can I bring this up properly so that they will seriously reconsider my offer decision?
