How to build up motivation and hard work ethic?

I’ve been working for the last 1,5 year in M&A on the same 3 projects since I joined. Clients are stubborn, Directors & MDs do not give a fuck about it and jump around projects leaving mine in stagnation.

I lost a taste for working in this team, so recently I’ve decided to change workplace and move to top team on a street hoping for more interesting and more structured tasks.

It starts in January, so in the meantime I wanted to work on myself to change my mindset for a hard worker and feel a motivation to show my new teammates that I’m no casual guy from the street.

The question is, do you all have any advice how to change your attitude and mindset before beginning a new role in other firm? How to build up that hard working mindset and motivation? Have you got any routine before and during a work time that helps you motivate yourself and concentrate on the task? Thanks.
