How to quit the Big 4 and do God's work?

Hello guys. I'm currently a Big 4 auditor in Chicago. I feel like this is too bland and easy for me. I'm probably the top performer in the group right now. I want to know if I can lateral into investment banking so I can do God's work.

I made this switch. As said above try everything you can to switch to FDD / Valuations or at the very least to something like PwC’s financial markets group that does some modeling. Getting there isn’t easy and your company will push back but if you’re a top performer talk to HR first and if they say no, just tell your partner you are unhappy and considering leaving. If you really are a top performer they will get you moved 100%. However while doing that, don’t let it hold you back from networking and recruiting for IB. I ended up getting an IB offer about a month before my transfer to valuations actually went through.

Great advice, I definitely agree. I have also heard from some friends that if worst case scenario happens and you leave your firm, its pretty easy to get into another firms FDD group especially with audit experience.
