How to maintain a career in IB?

Currently, a sophomore in college who will be recruiting for IB this summer. I see a lot of posts on this forum related to how to land a job in IB. However, my question is more about how to maintain a career in this field once you are already in. How do you deal with maintaining a strong network with people (professionally and personally) when you're working long hours? How do you continue to produce the best work? How can you continue to learn in this field?

What are the best practices and how can I start incorporating these practices/habits now?

Any advice would be appreciated.
