I am using a template from someone else. I want to change the formula for a particular cell but when I try to change under the Tools and the Protection menu, it keeps asking for a password I do not know.
How do I fix this?

There's Excel add-ins you can download that will unprotect the sheet.
I wouldn't unlock your Associate's sheet and send it back to him though.
PM me if you want code you can copy and paste into Excel that will unlock any worksheet and give you a password that works for it. This will allow you to re-protect it after. But your associate might be unhappy.
