How to move from Global Investment Research (Economics) to IB?
I currently work in economic research on the markets side of sell side research in a BB (sales, trading and research). For many reasons, I do not want to do economic research anymore, most of all because research is a shrinking industry. I want to pivot to IBD, mostly because it’s more value add then sell-side research, and I want to engage in deals. How do I proceed with this pivot, and which IBD groups should I target/ would I have the best shot at? Thanks!
