How to prepare for Capital Markets interviews sa 2015?

Hey I have some capital markets interviews coming up and was wondering how I can study all current events and micro/macro trends. I know that many technical questions will overlap with those of banking, but am unsure of how else to prep.
Thanks in advance!

Just have a general understanding of what is going on globally on a broad scale. Know about:

1) What's going with Oil (OPEC) 2) Swiss Franc 3) U.S. economy and where it's headed 4) China's economic transition 5) EU QE

Etc...

Capital Market interviews are much less structured than typical coverage IBD. It is going to be more behavioral and your interviewer is simply going to want an educated opinion from you about the markets. Just focus on large global developments by reading WSJ, Bloomberg, Reuters, etc. and become an expert.

It will be some fit, but mostly tell us about yourself, why cap markets, why us, what are your goals, etc. Generally like a screener so should only last 20 minutes or so.

"They are all former investment bankers that were laid off in the economic collapse that Nancy Pelosi caused. They have no marketable skills, but by God they work hard."
