How to tell a deal in an interview that the team has done?
So I am going to have an investment banking summer analyst interview with a bank in HK and as part of the preparation, I researched on the bank's recent deal. Since the deal was done by that bank, they know the deal better than I do. In this regard, how should I walk them through the deal? (It's a M&A). Should I give backgrounds of both buyer and sellers and so or just directly go to my own analysis of the deal?
In what possible world would you know the deal better than the deal team..
I would recommend talking about a deal similar to what they work on but not done by them
