How to tell a deal in an interview that the team has done?

So I am going to have an investment banking summer analyst interview with a bank in HK and as part of the preparation, I researched on the bank's recent deal. Since the deal was done by that bank, they know the deal better than I do. In this regard, how should I walk them through the deal? (It's a M&A). Should I give backgrounds of both buyer and sellers and so or just directly go to my own analysis of the deal?
