How's the prospect of LSE BSc Mgmt/Mgmt Science into banking?

Hi,

I'm an international student from Asia who's looking to spend a year at LSE in 2012 through the General Couse Program and hopefully transfer into LSE at last. I'm deciding between BSc Economics and BSc Mgmt, with the former requiring at least a 3.5 GPA and the latter 3.3. I suppose the BSc Econ program will be more ideal for recruiting, however my current GPA is somewhere around 3.1 and I'm definitely going to work harder to improve it in the next academic year. I'm quite confident that I can lift it to at least 3.3 next year this time, but 3.5 is a bit more challenging, though clearly possible.

So my question is, how's the prospect of an LSE Mgmt major to IBD? Is there much difference between Mgmt and Econ/A&F in terms of recruiting? Currently I'm an Econ & Finance major and will be taking advanced courses. As such, I'm quite sure technical questions should not be a problem for me. I'm cool with both London & Hong Kong offices, so advice from both places are much appreciated (though I suppose under the current environment getting a working Visa in UK is quite difficult).

Oh also - anyone happens to know the rough rate of successfully transferring into LSE?

Thanks for your inputs in advance!
