Those 2 have the highest deal flow by far
Second on Chemicals. The only group I have seen on any M&A deals (albeit my short career of 3 years)
Thanks so much for the advice. I’d seen that Chemicals was the best sector group on other threads however my mentor told me I shouldn’t pigeon hole myself into a sector group early into my career. Do you agree?

M&A is probably the most coveted. FinTech may be interesting. CS just hired someone away from fintech here
Ok I am a noob but what’s the difference between being on a sector team and doing general M&A. Like will I also work on stuff like fin tech and chemicals if I’m in general M&A?
yes just from more of a deal logistics perpsective and less of a market outlook perspective
