Got an offer for HSBC IBD summer internships. They are giving me options within advisory, which team would you pick. 
 

M&A

One of the sector teams: Chemicals, Consumer Retail, Financial Institutions Group (FIG), Financial Sponsors Group (FSG), FinTech, Healthcare, Industrials etc

Thanks so much for the advice. I’d seen that Chemicals was the best sector group on other threads however my mentor told me I shouldn’t pigeon hole myself into a sector group early into my career. Do you agree?

Ok I am a noob but what’s the difference between being on a sector team and doing general M&A. Like will I also work on stuff like fin tech and chemicals if I’m in general M&A?
