HSBC London Compensation
Hi all, Just wondering if anybody knows much about HSBC GBM -Investment Banking? 1. Comps for analyst and associates and comparison to other banks: Base and bonus 2. Reputation 3. Ranking and dealflow 4. What groups have the best dealflow (other than the obvious DCM team) 5. What are the exit ops like 6. Especially conversion rates for interns
I'd appreciate as London focussed advice as possible. Thanks in advance. Cheers
I know that analyst comp is £50K base + 10K bonus and associate is about £80K base + at least 50% base as bonus (from friends that work there). Can't comment on anything else except exit opps; a few alumni and friends of friends have placed into BBs and MM PE firms so overall exits don't seem horrible.
Hey, Thanks a lot for your comments. I am assuming that 10k bonus is below the street average by a bit. New to London IBD scene, so not entirely sure.
It's roughly on par with street. Barc / Roths have similar pay iirc
decent rep. Know ppl who had good exits. only in UK
Do you know the best teams except dcm? Also, exits like? What are the chances that one could exit into a top PE shop like BX and the likes?
Hardly UMM. MM PE would be the best exits. They have a decent UK M&A, infra/P&U and LevFin teams
