HSBC vs Santander
Wondering on general consensus atm between these two? Currently hold two offers - specifically for London office.

Teams?
Debt - GDF at Santander and equivalent for HSBC. Would also be interested in levfin and M&A.
What exactly is the team at each bank? Debt is a quite broad theme
Summer or Grad?
Levfin or "LAF" at HSBC is strong. Rest of the IB is crap.
Santander is marginally better for M&A but marginally worse on the lending side.
How good is San M&A? Is it easy to Lateral to a BB/EB
Tier 3. Not easy no.
HSBC way better. Santander friend always complains.
Is it the hours?
Graduate programme is basically 18 month and the pay is extremely bad compared to the street. The hours, 9-11 (higher in deals), are note good when considering pay. Also grads don't get a chance to model first year or so.
