Humanities majors
Hello, I was just wondering how different humanities degrees (in the UK specifically) were regarded? For example what's the difference between philosophy and history at a target/semi target. For context, I hope to work in FIG IB, before transitioning to global macro at a HF.
Any and all input is appreciated.
I'd read the job descriptions of the careers you are looking for. Most high-level finance roles require a degree in finance or accounting, econ, math, ect if you are coming from recent grad.
Entirely doable in the UK
But do any type of degree take precedence?
Oh I re read your post. IB to global macro isn’t common, and not all that relevant in skillset tbh. For macro roles/S&T a stem tilt is preferred
