HY Research and LevFin

Hey all,

I work at a BB in NYC (think BAML/JPM/C/CS/GS). I noticed a decent amount of High Yield Credit Research analysts here originally started in LevFin and made the switch to Research after a couple of years (similar to seeing IB going to ER). I see there being many transferrable skills both ways.

My questions:

Has anyone ever seen/heard of people switching from HY Research to LevFin (within the same bank or outside)?

If not, and you have experience in LevFin, would this seem like a reasonable move (obviously assuming the proper networking, extra modeling and prep)?

Would a few years in HY Research pre-MBA be a solid experience for IB/LevFin post-MBA?

Thanks.
