I am giving up on trying to get into IB. Giving one last try through WSO community.
At this point I have lost all hope to get into IB. Mainly because I am from a non-target which couldn't even land me an interview despite of having networked aggressively. Although I have seen people with less knowledge about the industry get into IB only because they were from the target ones in India.I kindly ask the WSO community to help me out getting into IB. I shall be grateful for any assistance given. lhassistanceanyassistance.given.
What kind of assistance are you looking for?
If you have exhausted the search function, networked and have done gone through all applications.. what else are you planning on doing?
Maybe we can provide more ideas.
Thanks for your reply cyberpunk. Maybe more mentorship and network building. Or some opportunities that might come my way so that I can showcase myself to be valuable to the team.
There is a mentorship program on WSO

You only fail when you give up.
Trying to live by it honestly but the constant rejection is a big let down to mine tries and hopes. Thank you tho
Try out Sam Shiah's Wall Street Mastermind. I heard it's really great!!!
Thank you for suggesting. I shall try it.
Please don't. I was being sarcastic.
If you say Sam's name on here you better be trashing him. We as a community need to be better
Hah. I guess Sam’s content is not reliable then. Anyhow I am desperate enough to check him out tho.
Deleted - sorry missed some info in the opening post
I can certainly give you more information about me or connect over other platform.
Only the strong survive, better luck next time kid.
Go accounting route and try at the Big 4, try to get an advisory internship in M&A, the Big 4 is a lot friendlier to non-target.
Do you have diversity?
I have been trying to get into a Big4 for an advisory(M&A) role but no luck till yet. Thanks for the advise tho.
.
Maybe try audit instead and then move in advisory the next year or try to lateral during your internship? I know KPMG has dual internship but that might chalked up to marketing.
Where do you go to school? If you're in India, the path to US/UK BB is extremely limited. A US MBA (top 15, preferably M7) is your best path with 3-5 years work experience.
