the modeling courses I took. Seriously, I'm a math major from a school with a pretty big business school, so it was impossible to get attention when applying for I-Banking jobs. So, I took some courses at the Analyst Exchange, and learned all the modeling for M&A and lbo's or whatever. Then they (guys at the analyst exchange) gave me advice as to how to get HR's attention from some of the big firms....and it worked! (with only 1, but that's all i needed). I could've MAYBE attributed it 100% to luck, but when I got the call they said that my technical skills "hands down surpassed all the candidates they've seen".
So I'm just happy and had to write that....and wanted to rub it in to the guys in the business school

Say what you want, but i'm happy. The courses were a bit expensive, but still cheaper than all the other programs. And, I don't know if they're in Nigeria, but they claim to be worldwide.

I love it...you guys are unbelieveable. Yes, maybe I shouldn't have "rubbed it in" and bashes b-schoolers. That wasn't quite my intention. I was just happy about my acceptance and it was a bit of a hurdle. I also was just thanking those that helped me along the way.
I understand there a lot of pent-up anger and fursturation given we're all competing for the same positions, but guys like "prospie" taking the energy trying to bash my new found sucess 2x really makes me sit back and be glad that I'm done! You'll get your time too, don't worry! And thanks for keeping my thread at the top of the list!
I agree, it's good, in a sense, that ur attempt at "word of mouth" advertising is continuously bumped to the top......... more publicity, right?
