I Hate Where I Am and Feel Stuck

Don’t want to be a complainer because I understand that a lot of people on this website are looking to get into banking and I’m already there. I graduated college and spent about 1.5 years at a no name boutique bank, and I ended up being able to lateral to a strong middle market bank in the same tier 2 city in the fall. I really hate the city that I’m living in and not the biggest fan of the new role in general and I’ve also have been doing long distance for almost 2 years now which is driving me nuts and adding to stress. Currently trying for off-cycle PE recruiting but if that doesn’t work out, would it be too much job hopping if I was to look at lateral opportunities to other banks in the city that I want to end up in? Any opinions appreciated.
