I need a new goal in life

Got a FT offer for a “EB” in NYC and it has been my goal for the past two years to get something good in NYC. Now that I accomplished that, I feel super empty and pretty bad. Any ideas on any goals I should have that I can work on for the next year before I start FT? I know that PE recruiting is around the corner once FT starts but I really don’t know what I want. I will be doing some research to fix that soon. Appreciate the help.

You are anonymously soliciting ideas for LIFE GOALS from strangers on the Internet. My advice for you is to wipe your mental hard drive clean to factory settings, as best you can, tune out the noise, and make a sincere effort to learn about yourself with the same zeal you secured a full-time elite boutique offer with. Find out what truly brings you joy and drives and animates you. Work on yourself as a human being - you clearly have a TON of work to do.

Are you mentally and physically healthy? Are you fit? Happy - at least some of the time? Do you have meaningful and satisfying relationships with other human beings? Are you capable of love? Have you ever even experienced true romance? These are far more important considerations for someone in your position than to needleslly research buy-side roles before your first day on the job.
