A few pointers: 1) Noone "does" books. 2) You don't need a special wardrobe to be a university student. 3) My answer to your third question, which is the only reasonable one; don't pidgeonhole yourself. Experience all college has to offer. Join clubs, get internships, take a variety of classes, join a frat, sleep with hot girls, drink, read as much as you possibly can, start a business (no matter how small) and go to class.

Side-note: what's a "hermeneutic?" I just looked it up and it seems to be a term for studying interpretations of the Bible.
