IB Associate Outlook
Hello everyone,
We often talk about working 2 years as an analyst then leaving for PE, but not much about what happens to associates. Say you become a senior associate at a BB, what options do you have? The options I know of are: B school (not interested), VP promotion, Corp Dev. Do private equities ever hire IB associates or do they consider it's too late?
What do you guys think about career prospects for senior associates?
Thanks.
Depends
IMO you are way overthinking this. The only thing you are giving up is the more traditional/logical recruiting path and timing for a move to PE, otherwise the exits are the same.
