IB --> Corporate M&A Group
Kings and queens,
Anyone made the jump from IB to internal M&A group at F500? Feeling the same way a lot of us are right now with burnout imminent and am contemplating next steps.
Would love to hear anyone's experience. Need to start making moves.
It's an extremely well trodden path. Corp dev is most relevant corporate adjacency to investment banking. You probably won't get too many looks if you haven't finished at least one year of banking though, based on my personal experience (assuming you're also a first year who is contemplating leaving early).
