IB in Milan & Frankfurt
Why do Investment Banks pay less in Milan than in Frankfurt?
And why is this difference even larger when it comes to paying to interns?

Guess you have never worked in Milan, but I can tell you that many times the difference comes from the nature of the work
e.g. Many internships are for MM Advisory at BBs (UBS works for their wealth management clients...)
Additionally there is an oversupply of interested & educated eager students at Bocconi, Politecnico di Milano and Luiss which makes it easy to attract talent with low pay
That´s why every Italian tries to fly away to London which grants more opportunities and better pay (also COL is too high in Milan for that salary)
Is it true that in Milan base salary is between 30-40K EUR?
