IB internship Before Junior Year?

I've heard that it's important to have experience before you start recruiting for the crucial junior year IB internship, and that ideally this experience is IB related (small local bank, boutique, etc.), I'm a rising sophomore and incoming revenue analyst and next summer I'll be interning at Bloomberg LP. Should I look for something off-cycle during the school year that fits the IB niche better?
